Last night was my poetry reading debut. I have attended many poetry readings but never to perform on stage. It was a mixture of hiaku, original poetry blended with great people who are laid back and great listeners.
I must say it was a night that will not be forgotten. I read two of my original poems,"so insane" and "the politics of me". It was meant to be a five minute set, however my nervousness sort of shortened the set to less than a minute. I spoke clearly but too fast.
In any case, next week I hope the turn out will be better as my performance hopefully will be as well. For all you poetry lovers this is the place to be on a lazy Monday night.
