HER NAME IS JEZEBEL

Ripe with emotion
Shared thoughts a mile away
Distant kisses beg restraint
You and me in a secluded place
Her words echo in my ear
Your actions filled with care
Not for me...but for her
The closer I get the farther you seem
Shut the door
Don't let the feelings in
Stay away from the windows
All the happenings outside don't concern you.

  1. I came across your site while looking for poetry and I can see you have a lot of passion. I've often found that reading the work of others helps me with my own so I'd like to share a site, Narrative Magazine (www.narrativemagazine.com). They publish quality work from poets and other artists and distribute their contents for free. They also hold regular contests that you might be interested in.

Thank you for your posts and your time.

  2. Thank you so much, I agree with you as far as the effect of others works might have on my own. I will take your advise to heart and I appreciate you reading my poems and I hope you enjoy them. Cheers
