FINE TUNING

The courses varied from embroidery to home economics
My counterparts said I would be the perfect homemaker
I was thinking more in the range of agrophysics
Seemed less likely than being the class heartbreaker

The women around me aspired to be mothers and caregivers
I looked beyond the stars and felt a flicker of hope
I may abide by the rules but walk that fine line with the sinners
Its the end of the term this will be a slippery slope
